Tifblue Rabbiteye Blueberry – 1 Gallon Pot

I am new to growing blueberries and did a considerable amount of research before starting my plot and buying plants. I bought my plants in February, as that is the recommended time for planting blueberries in west Tennessee, and they arrived in beautiful condition. I took them out immediately, but as the weather wasn’t permissive, I had to wait about 10 days before I could get them in the ground. I left the paper covering on the plant but removed the plastic wrap, and used this as a “mulch” to keep the soil moist with watering. They did great! I was very pleased. I have planted them slightly above ground and backfilled with pine bark mulch. I have cut off the blossoms this year to encouraged root growth and make the plant stronger. So far, they have started to leaf out wonderfully, and I look forward to seeing a beautiful bush this year, but hopefully next year see a good crop (if I can keep the birds away).———————————————————————————————-Good Luck! Several months ago I was searching for a particular plant which brought me to Wilson Bros. I am not tech savvy but the website was excellent. Extremely easy, fast, answered all of my questions, and has a wonderful system. If the product is sold out, they email you to let you know that they now have it in stock. Delivery is fast, always packed carefully. I have never had a plant that was not perfect when I opened the box. I literally have spent thousands of dollars with Wilson bros and I will continue to do so. I have only called the company once, and they answered my question, were extremely knowledgeable and very pleasant to talk with. Pricing was great, no more Home Depot or Lowe’s. This is my first year to plant blueberries. I ordered the specific variety suggested by Texas A&M for Central Texas. They look very healthy and are just starting to leaf out a bit. Our weather is so sporadic here…one day in the 70’s the next in the 30’s. I hope these will do well and if so, I’ll be ordering more. Shipping was terrific. I ordered four different blueberry bushes. They arrived in remarkably good shape and I planted them almost immediately. I know it’s Feb., but we rarely get hard freezes here. The blueberry plant that I ordered was shipped very quickly and was well packaged. The blueberry plant was exactly as described and appeared very healthy. Since it is Fall, I won’t get to really enjoy this plant until next Spring, but based on my experience so far, I highly recommend Wilson Brothers Gardens.
