When you look at the leaves of this Cryptomeria, and how they spiral around twisting stems that look like dreadlocks which go in every direction, it’s hard to imagine how they grow in such an odd fashion. The leaves emerge a brilliant chartreuse to light green turning to blue green as they mature. Growing maybe 6 to 8 inches per year and forming a broad rounded pyramid, Spiraliter Falcata might reach 6 to 8 feet tall and 4 to 5 feet wide in 10 years, making it a fine selection for smaller garden spaces.
