Description
Always wanted a Ginkgo tree but didn’t have the space? Unlike its much larger growing cousins that can grow up to 100 feet tall over time, the Sky Tower Ginko is a very compact and upright variety that grows only 15 to 20 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide, which makes it an excellent selection for smaller and narrower landscape spaces. It features distinctive two-lobed, fan-shaped rich green leaves that turn the most spectacular bright yellow of any fall color tree. Ginkgo are commonly called maidenhair trees due to their fan-shaped leaves that resemble the shape of maidenhair fern leaflets. A long-lived and carefree beauty, Sky Tower Ginko is sure to put an exclamation point on your landscape!
Note: All of our Ginkgo trees are males, which means they won’t have the stinky flowers the females do.
Landscape & Garden Uses Â
Growing only 15 to 20 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet wide over time, the Sky Tower Gonkgo tree is ideal for use as a specimen, in groupings, or spaced in rows to delineate a property line, drive or street. It is also ideal for use to accentuate entryways or frame tall homes and structures. A fine addition to yellow theme gardens.
Suggested Spacing:Â 6 feet apart for solid screen;Â 12 feet apart for space between trees
Growing Preferences
One of if not the easiest trees to grow, the Ginkgo adapts well to adverse growing conditions in urban areas. It is remarkably free of diseases, is insect resistant, and exceptionally drought tolerant when established. It adapts well to most soil types, even clay, and won’t be bothered by moist or dry soil conditions. Soil pH is of no concern as Ginkgo trees perform well in both acid and alkaline conditions. Avoid pruning other than to remove damaged branches or lower branches to expose more trunk.

Beautiful tree. Arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Packaging was beautifully done. The plant had obviously been well taken care of in the garden beforehand as it was healthy and ready to be planted. I was well pleased.——————————————————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Thanks for the kind words and great review! 🙂 Beth Steele | WBG
My first delivery was disappointing as the tree had few roots and seemed undersized for a 3 gallon pot. I reached out to customer service and they responded immediately with a beautiful, well-developed replacement tree that I’m looking forward to watching grow in the coming years! The shipping was prompt and the packaging was first-rate. Great work, team!—————————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! Excellent customer service. Speedy and prompt delivery. Obviously it will take some time for the tree to establish itself and to provide the color depicted in the pictures but so far so good and looking forward to many years of enjoyment..——————————————–We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy it for years to come! These trees arrived quickly and in very good condition. They’re small, so it’s hard to imagine them as large trees, but I know that Wilson Bros, products have performed well for me in the past. I haven’t planted them yet, as I’m dealing with a water issue in my back yard. Hope to have them in the ground next week.———————————————-We are so glad you are pleased and we hope you enjoy them for years to come!
