I had written to WIlson Bros Gardens to inquire on the height of the Pillar Rose of Sharon and was told 36 to 40 inches for the 3 gallon pots. I really appreciated that they would check that for me. I ordered 6 plants to eventually add some height in front of a fence for additional privacy. These plants were full and as tall as expected. They looked like they came right from the nursery and didn’t travel in a box. They were well boxed and the material in the box to keep the plants moist was still very moist and doing its job. I am looking forward to additional privacy in a few years and enjoying all the hummingbirds they are bound to bring. I will be ordering more of these in the future. Plants arrived in good condition and we got them in the ground ASAP. Will they keep to the tall narrow pillar shape, as promised? They are planted in a narrow area so that’s the “Big Question.” Time will tell! In the meantime they are putting out flowers and putting on growth. I will say they were packed perfectly and came almost immediately. Your job as the gardener is to get them in the ground and get them off to a good start.. Plant was well packaged and in fresh condition upon receipt; however, the plant description in your ad says “Deer will not touch” the deer in GA are very different from those in NC. Our deer ate most all foliage after planting had to erect a barrier.——————————————We are glad you are pleased! We hate the deer ate it!! Try a spray Deer Repellent, and you have to reapply if it rains or Milorganite, it’s an organic fertilizer, and the deer hate the way it smells and t it will fertilize too!! Beth | WBG

Thanks for the beautiful plants! I was skeptical of buying without seeing the actual plant, but was not disappointed with my order. They were very well packaged to survive shipping. Each one had a cardboard collar and supports to keep it from shifting or getting crushed. The pots were wrapped to retain moisture. They are good sized plants, very full and healthy. My Rose of Sharon plant arrived well protected with wonderful buds and flowers and plenty of water already in the pot to stop drying out during transport. It was in even better condition that one I had bought from a local nursery that has a great reputation and wonderful plants. This was my first internet purchase for any plant and I was concerned that the plant may be scrawnier or not as healthy as the local ones but I was pleasantly surprised that it was better than the one I bought here. It was very well packaged in a sturdy box and did not seem to have suffered at all from the trip. I will definitely now consider buying from Wilson Bros for plants that I am looking for even if I can get them locally.
